Guided Fishing and Boating Trips in Denver

Two Reservoirs, Two Experiences, and Everything Your Group Needs for a Great Day on the Water

Denver Charter Fishing operates guided fishing and leisure boating trips on Cherry Creek and Chatfield Reservoirs aboard a brand new 2026 Bentley Legacy 220 Navigator 22 foot pontoon! This beauty has ample seating room for up to 12 people and a ton of open space. Every trip is priced as a flat rate for your entire group covering all gear, bait, fuel, and guide service. All you need to bring is your group, a valid Colorado fishing license for anyone planning to fish, and whatever food, drinks, and personal items you want on the water. We handle everything else.

The Boat

The Finest Charter Pontoon on the Front Range

Our 2026 Bentley Legacy 220 Navigator Quad Lounge pontoon is purpose built for the kind of group experience Denver Charter Fishing was designed to deliver. At 22 feet with seating and comfort for up to 12 guests, this is not a typical fishing boat. It is a premium on-the-water platform with the space, the stability, and the amenities to make every guest comfortable whether they are actively fishing or simply enjoying the ride. The quad lounge layout means there is genuine seating for everyone and the open deck design makes it easy for groups to move around, socialize, and fish together without feeling cramped or crowded. It is also jam packed with cutting edge fishing technology, such as the Garmin Live Scope fish finder and a top of the line trolling motor! With this, we are able to find and stay on the fish, as well as quietly approach birds and other wildlife!

Fishing Trips

Get on the Fish Without Needing a Boat, Gear, or Any Prior Experience

Fishing from the middle of a Colorado reservoir with your whole group around you is a completely different experience from bank fishing or going out alone on a small personal watercraft. Denver Charter Fishing makes guided reservoir fishing accessible to groups of friends, families, coworkers, and anyone else who wants to experience the water together rather than separately. Our guides know where the fish are holding on both Cherry Creek and Chatfield and they put you in position to catch them while handling all the gear, bait, and setup so your group can focus on enjoying the experience.

Both Cherry Creek and Chatfield Reservoirs hold strong populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, wiper, yellow perch, trout, and channel catfish. Chatfield in particular offers access to trophy-sized fish in deeper and more diverse water that rewards serious anglers while still being completely accessible to first-timers and casual fishers who just want to see what bites.

No fishing experience is required on any of our trips. Our guides will get everyone set up, explain the basics to anyone who needs it, and make sure every person on the boat has a genuine shot at catching fish throughout the day.

What to Bring

A Short Packing List That Makes a Big Difference

Denver Charter Fishing handles the gear, the bait, the boat, and the guide. Here is what we ask guests to bring to make sure everyone has the best possible day on the water.

A valid Colorado fishing license is required for every guest planning to fish. Licenses can be purchased quickly and easily online through Colorado Parks and Wildlife before your trip. Visit cpw.state.co.us to purchase yours before departure.

Beyond your fishing license bring plenty of water, a hat, and polarized sunglasses which are genuinely important for fishing and highly recommended for all guests.

A light rain jacket is a smart addition for Colorado's afternoon storm season. If you plan on getting in the water bring a towel.

Food and snacks are welcome on the boat for shorter trips and encouraged on all day outings. Adult beverages are welcome. Please note that no glass containers of any kind are allowed on the boat.

Which Trip Is Right for Your Group?

A Quick Guide to Choosing the Right Option

Not sure whether to book two hours or eight, Cherry Creek or Chatfield, fishing or boating? Here is a simple breakdown to help you make a decision.

If your group is in the Denver metro or visiting from out of town and wants the most convenient option with city skyline views, Cherry Creek is the right call.

If your group wants a more scenic outdoor setting with mountain views and exceptional fishing and does not mind the extra drive, Chatfield delivers something genuinely special.

If you are still not sure, reach out and we will help you figure out the best option for your group, your date, and what you are hoping to experience.

If fishing is not the draw and you are looking purely for a great on-the-water experience for a corporate team, a networking group, or a social gathering, the boating trips are designed exactly for that. No fishing gear, no fishing licenses, just a great day on the reservoir with great views and great company.

If your group includes people who have never fished before or are not sure whether they want to fish, the two or four hour fishing trip is the perfect introduction. If you are planning a full day corporate outing, a family celebration, or a serious fishing day, the six or eight hour trips with lunch included are the way to go.

Fishing Licenses

Every Guest Planning to Fish Needs a Valid Colorado Fishing License

Colorado state law requires every angler 16 years of age and older to carry a valid Colorado fishing license while fishing. Licenses are not provided by Denver Charter Fishing and must be purchased by each guest before the trip. The easiest way to get yours is online through Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Licenses are available as one-day, five-day, or annual options depending on how often you plan to fish.

Ready to Get on the Water?

Cherry Creek and Chatfield are both booking up fast for the season. Lock in your date now and give your group something to look forward to. Whether it is a two hour evening on Cherry Creek or a full day at Chatfield with lunch on the boat, Denver Charter Fishing is ready to make it happen.
